This is our first 60-Day Challenge so we are going to keep this as simple as possible. Here are the contest requirements:

1). You must use the Complete Speed Training System (exercises, drills, workouts) for all 60 days to achieve your results.

If you own Complete Speed Training then you already have the drills, exercises and progressions you need to get started.

Now, there's no entry fee. So no programs have to be bought and you don't have to sign-up for anything. If you do not own the Complete Speed Training system, you can use the exercises described in the Speed Training Newsletter or you can check out the drills and exercises for free here: Speed Drills and also articles on how to run faster at: Complete Speed Training Articles and Athletes Acceleration Articles

2). You must document your results.

Here is the list of tests you can choose from. These are the tests your athletes must perform and the ones you must document the improvements for in order to be eligible for the grand prizes. You must choose at least 5 tests. There are 6 categories of tests. You must pick at least 1 test from 5 of the 6 categories. This means you can skip one category of testing if you choose to.

Pick the tests relative to your sport and document your results on Day 1, Day 30 and Day 60. Remember the more tests you perform and document improvements for, the greater your chances of winning.

Here are the tests we recommend that you use:

**Testing Inventory

Speed Tests

30 meter sprint
40 yard dash
Fly 50
80 meter run

Multidirectional Speed Tests

5-10-5
T-test
3 Cone Drill

Speed Endurance Tests

5x40 yards with 20 seconds rest
100 meter sprint
120 meter sprint

Beep Test

Weight Room Tests

Squat (5 RM)
Deadlift (5 RM)
Clean (5 RM)

Power Tests

Vertical Leap
Overhead Backwards Medicine Ball Throw
Standing Long Jump
Standing Triple Jump

Speed Drill Tests

‘A’ Skip
‘A’ Run
Alternating Fast Leg

**You are allowed to use different tests that may be more relevant to your sport just as long as you document everything. If they are not listed in the Testing Inventory or above articles, contact us below to make sure your test qualifies.

3). Create a detailed summary of what you did with your athletes to make the big improvements in speed and power..

Keep a written and/or video log (video is always more effective) of your training, workouts and (of course) testing. The more information you submit, the better your chances. To keep track of your workouts, you can post them on your blog, facebook, twitter, or offline in a log book. It's your choice how you keep track of everything, but…

4). The more detail and proof the better.

Use video of ‘before’, ‘during’ and ‘after’ to show your athletes’ progression. Film the actual tests to help validate the results. I’d even film workouts, drills, exercises, etc. to show that you are using Complete Speed Training types of drills. Show before and after photos of your results or whatever you think will best portray your improvements. Enter age/s of athlete, sport/s, location, training age and as much detail as you can think of that will help you stand out in the minds of our panel of judges. A photo with you and the day's newspaper or a time/date stamp on videos will help prove your starting and ending date.

Remember, we do this for a living. We know what we’re looking at. So anything that even slightly hints of cheating (such as underperforming during initial tests to get better results) will result in immediate disqualification from the contest. You won’t be warned, you’ll just be banned.

5). To enter, just email your results before midnight February 4th.

Click here to submit your results

The official start date is December 1st but you may start and finish anytime as long as you get results for at least 60 days and turn in your submission by February 4th, 2009.

6). Patrick Beith, Latif Thomas and Kimberly St. John will narrow down and pick the top 10 entries.

Once the top 10 entries are picked, we will put those results up on a website for 1 week where our newsletter list will be able to vote. The top 3 vote getters will receive the prizes.

We will be comparing relative changes in your athletes. It not entirely about who has the fastest athletes, but what coaches and athletes have the biggest changes and improvements using a Complete Speed Training type of system.

Above all else, we actually want you to open the Complete Speed Training System and put it to use. Take Action and start using the program. Not only can you win a cash prize, but more importantly, your athletes will improve. Actually, even if you are not one of the top 3 winners, your athletes will be faster, stronger and more powerful. So you are a winner no matter what. It’s your classic win-win situation.
